SECTION/RULE §4.34 - Certification

(a) Local governmental entities are encouraged to acquire financial assistance for eligible development projects from a variety of sources including federal, state, local and private/public foundations. The local governmental entity or the local governing body submitting the application will provide a certification that reasonable local community efforts have been made to acquire funding from other sources when the state is the only other financial partner.(b) In submitting an application to request a grant amount under §436.202(c) of the Government Code, the local governing body will certify that the local community budget and resources are not adequate or available and shall provide specific information on local efforts to secure adequate funding.
