SECTION/RULE §353.1101 - Purpose

The purpose of this subchapter is to implement the Texas Dual Eligibles Integrated Care Demonstration Project (Dual Demonstration) which is a federal-state partnership between the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) that provides integrated Medicare and Medicaid services through a managed care model. The rules in this subchapter address eligibility for, and enrollment in, the Dual Demonstration and the responsibilities of HHSC as the Medicaid agency.
