For Medicaid covered services, members enrolled in the Dual Demonstration have 60 days from a notice of action to file an appeal with the STAR+PLUS MMP. Members may also file a request for an HHSC fair hearing instead of, or in addition to, a health plan appeal. Rules governing fair hearings for Medicaid covered services are in Chapter 357, Subchapter A, of this title (relating to Uniform Fair Hearing Rules).
