SECTION/RULE §366.835 - Comprehensive Health Care Requirements

(a) A parent or guardian of an applicant must:(1) attend a health care orientation;(2) accompany the child on a visit to a health care provider; or(3) meet with an HHSC representative to discuss the child's eligibility and, as appropriate, receive counseling on the child's need for comprehensive health care.(b) The parent or guardian of a recipient who is eligible for Texas Health Steps must:(1) comply with the Texas Health Steps regimen of health care requirements, as required by the Texas Department of State Health Services in 25 TAC Chapter 33 (relating to Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment); or(2) meet with an HHSC representative to discuss the child's eligibility and, as appropriate, receive counseling on the child's need for comprehensive health care.
