SECTION/RULE §372.601 - SNAP Benefits for Disaster Victims

To address the specific nutrition needs of disaster victims for a temporary period during and after a disaster, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission may:(1) administer SNAP benefits to disaster victims as explained in 7 U.S.C. §2014(h); and(2) request that the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service grant waivers from applicable requirements of the SNAP regulations.
