(a) The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) schedules TANF and SNAP interviews after the application file date explained in §372.903 of this subchapter (relating to Application File Date). HHSC attempts to schedule interviews on dates and at times that accommodate the needs of applicants. For example, if the only adult is working, HHSC may schedule the interview after working hours.(b) Unless HHSC interviews the applicant on the day of application, HHSC provides applicants with advance written notice of the date, time, and location of the interview. If the interview location is the applicant's home, the notice may set the time as "morning" or "afternoon."
