SECTION/RULE §372.1351 - SNAP Work Requirements

In SNAP, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission follows 7 CFR §273.7 and requires non-exempt household members to:(1) register for work;(2) not voluntarily quit a job or reduce work hours to less than 30 per week, without good cause to do so;(3) participate in a SNAP Employment and Training Program;(4) participate in a workfare program;(5) participate in TANF work activities if also receiving TANF benefits;(6) participate in Unemployment Insurance work activities if also receiving Unemployment Insurance benefits;(7) report to an employer; and(8) accept a bona fide offer of suitable employment.
