(a) In the TANF Program, there is no guarantee of a particular benefit amount. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission periodically determines benefit amounts based on funds appropriated by state law. (b) In SNAP, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service annually determines the maximum benefit amounts.
