SECTION/RULE §372.1505 - Determining Monthly Benefits

(a) In the TANF Program, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) determines the monthly amount of benefits by:(1) totaling the household's countable income under §372.403 of this chapter (relating to Determining Whose Income Counts in TANF);(2) subtracting applicable deductions explained in Subchapter B, Division 7, of this chapter (relating to Income); and(3) subtracting the result from the maximum benefit amount the household is eligible to receive.(b) In SNAP, HHSC follows 7 CFR §273.10 to determine the household's monthly amount of benefits.
