(a) The provisions in this subchapter that apply to an officeholder apply only to a person who holds an elective public office in the state and to the secretary of state.(b) For purposes of this subchapter, a statewide officer-elect or a member-elect of the legislature is considered to be an officeholder beginning on the day after the date of the general or special election at which the officer-elect or member-elect was elected.(c) An officeholder who has a campaign treasurer appointment on file is a candidate for filing purposes and shall file under Subchapter C of this chapter (relating to Reporting Requirements for a Candidate) rather than under this subchapter.
