SECTION/RULE §81.153 - Delivery of Election Records and Supplies

(a) In joint precincts using an electronic voting system in which only one ballot box or only one voting unit is used, the co-judge from the party whose candidate for governor received the highest number of votes in the precinct or consolidated precinct in the most recent gubernatorial general election shall deliver the election supplies, including the voting unit containing the vote totals. (Note: A county election officer may use separate ballot boxes for each party when using electronic voting systems, if applicable.)(b) The co-judge of the party whose candidate for governor received the highest number of votes in the precinct or consolidated precinct in the most recent gubernatorial general election may designate the other co-judge or a clerk to deliver the ballot box and/or device containing the vote totals.(c) In a jurisdiction using paper ballots, each co-judge shall deliver their party's ballot box and election returns.
