SECTION/RULE §155.7 - Computation of Time

(a) Application of rule. This rule applies unless another method is required by statute, another rule in this chapter, or order.(b) Computing time periods. When computing periods of time prescribed or allowed in this chapter:(1) the day of the act, event, or default from which the designated time period begins to run is not counted; and(2) the last day of the time period is counted, unless it is a day on which SOAH's offices are closed, in which case the time period will end on the next day SOAH's offices are open.(c) Calendar days. Time limits shall be computed using calendar days rather than business days except as provided by subsection (d) of this section.(d) Five days or less. If the time limit is five days or less, the intervening Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays are not counted.(e) Requests to extend a time limit are governed by §155.307 of this chapter.
