(a) A person who holds current certification as an academic language practitioner issued by the Academic Language Therapy Association or its equivalent, as approved by the department, may be licensed as a dyslexia practitioner if the person has earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited public or private institution of higher education.(b) A person who qualifies for licensure under subsection (a) is not required to provide documentation to the department that the person meets the requirements of Occupations Code §403.104, Eligibility for Licensed Dyslexia Practitioner License.(c) A licensed dyslexia practitioner may practice only in an educational setting, including a school, learning center, or clinic.
