SECTION/RULE §90.45 - Additional Course Requirements for the DWI Education Program

(a) In addition to the requirements under §90.42, each DWI Education Program provider must:(1) provide a minimum of 12 hours of instruction per course;(2) provide no more than four hours of instruction in any one day; and(3) conduct courses and each class with no more than 30 participants and with no fewer than three participants.(b) The provider must administer and evaluate pre-course and post-course test instruments for each participant.(c) Within ten working days after completion of the course, the instructor must notify the appropriate community supervision and corrections department and forward a copy of the certificate of completion to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).(d) If the deadline for completing the course is less than ten working days after the participant's successful completion of the course, the instructor, prior to the deadline, must:(1) forward a copy of the certificate of completion to DPS; and(2) notify the appropriate community supervision and corrections department or the court.
