SECTION/RULE §309.243 - Stalls

(a) An association shall provide a sufficient number of stalls to house twice the anticipated number of starters per week of races. To comply with this subsection, an association may include in the total number of stalls the stalls located in the stable area, the receiving barn, and the stakes barn.(b) The stalls must be constructed of a fire-retardant material.(c) Except as otherwise provided by a rule of the Commission, a stall must have a floor area of at least 110 square feet and must be at least 10 feet wide.(d) The association shall provide a covered walkway along the front of each row of stalls. The walkway must be at least 10 feet wide and must be kept neat and clean at all times.(e) An association shall ensure that the area above each stall is kept open for proper ventilation.
