SECTION/RULE §309.255 - Chase Vehicle

(a) An association shall provide a chase vehicle and driver for the commission veterinarian's use during each live performance.(b) In addition to the driver, the association shall have at least one assistant starter accompany the commission veterinarian during each race.(c) The chase vehicle must be able to navigate on the racetrack during all weather conditions.(d) The chase vehicle must be large enough to provide:(1) interior seating for at least four people; and(2) room to store the portable screens used to shield a horse from public view.(e) The chase vehicle shall be equipped with a five-gallon water container, a sponge, and a scraper.
