SECTION/RULE §315.4 - Dual Appointments

(a) Except as otherwise provided by this section, a racing official may not be appointed to more than one position with an association unless written permission is obtained from the executive secretary at least 10 days before the beginning of the race meeting.(b) If an emergency arises during a race meeting which necessitates the appointment of a racing official to more than one position, the association shall provide a written report to the executive secretary describing in detail the circumstances of the appointment. A report under this subsection must be delivered to the executive secretary not later than three days after the date of the appointment. If the executive secretary does not approve the emergency dual appointment, the association shall make the necessary appointments for each position.
