SECTION/RULE §319.101 - Pre-Race Examination

(a) A commission veterinarian shall examine each horse entered in a race on the day it is to race to determine the horse's health and soundness for racing.(b) The examination may include any practice or procedure which the commission veterinarian considers necessary to determine the health and soundness of the horse for racing. The examination may be conducted at any time before the actual start of the race.
