The following words and terms, when used in this subchapter, shall have the following meanings:(1) Board--The governing body of the agency known as the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.(2) Commissioner--The Commissioner of Higher Education, the Chief Executive Officer of the Board.(3) Interested persons--Persons who attend committee meetings as representatives of stakeholder entities and any other persons who have made their interest in the work of the committee known to its presiding officer. Such interested persons may participate in committee discussions, as invited by the presiding officer to do so, but do not have the authority to cast votes.(4) Public state colleges--Lamar State College - Port Arthur, Lamar State College - Orange, and Lamar Institute of Technology.(5) The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board--the agency known as the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and its staff.
