SECTION/RULE §1.231 - Definitions

The following words and terms, when used in this subchapter, shall have the following meanings:(1) Board--The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.(2) Commissioner--The Commissioner of Higher Education, the Chief Executive Officer of the Board.(3) Marketable Skills: Those skills valued by employers that can be applied in a variety of work settings, including interpersonal, cognitive, and applied skill areas. These skills can be either primary or complementary to a major and are acquired by students through education, including curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities.(4) Institutions of Higher Education--As defined in Texas Education Code, Chapter 61.003(8).
