(a) Authority. Statutory authority for this subchapter is provided in Texas Government Code. §2110.0012, and Texas Education Code, chapter 130, subchapter O.(b) Purposes. The Opportunity High School Diploma Advisory Committee is created to provide the Commissioner and Board with advice and counsel with respect to the opportunity high school diploma program to achieve the goal of providing alternative means for students enrolled in a workforce education program at a junior college to earn a competency-based high school diploma.
