SECTION/RULE §1.262 - Committee Membership and Officers

(a) Membership shall consist of individuals with knowledge of high school completion competencies.(b) Membership on the committee shall not exceed seven and should include:(1) One member from the Texas Workforce Commission, as designated by the Executive Director of the Commission, and(2) One member from the Texas Education Agency, as designated by the Commissioner of Education.(c) The Commissioner shall recommend members to the Board for appointment.(d) The Commissioner shall select the presiding officer, who will be responsible for conducting meetings and conveying committee recommendations to the Board and the Commissioner.(e) Each member shall serve a three-year staggered term, unless otherwise provided by the Commissioner.
