SECTION/RULE §10.916 - Student Eligibility

(a) To be eligible for employment in the Program a person shall:(1) be a resident of Texas;(2) be enrolled for at least the number of hours required of a half-time student or enrolled within an internship course at an eligible institution the semester prior to the assigned internship as defined within program guidelines or actively enrolled at an eligible institution as a half-time student or within an internship course; and(3) be an undergraduate student.(b) A person is not eligible to participate in the Program if the person has not graduated from high school or received the equivalent of a high school diploma.(c) A person may not be employed in more than one Texas Works internship at a time.(d) Must meet additional eligibility criteria defined within the program guidelines provided to eligible employers.
