SECTION/RULE §10.56 - Grant Awards

(a) The amount of funding available for the Family Practice Residency Program is dependent on the legislative appropriation for the program for each biennial state budget. Award levels will be determined by a formula approved by the Board based upon the number of certified resident physicians in the training program.(b) Grant awards shall be subject to approval pursuant to §1.16 of this title (relating to Contracts, Including Grants, for Materials and/or Services).(c) The Board shall award all Family Practice Residency Grants after receiving the recommendations of the Family Practice Residency Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee shall annually report all awards to the Board.(d) A grantee may only expend grant funds on the salary of the resident physician, professional liability, and other direct costs that are necessary and reasonable to support the residency position as stated in grantee's budget, and in accordance with the applicable rules and statutes for the program.
