SECTION/RULE §2.329 - Criteria for Proposed Course Approval

In addition to any administrative completeness criteria specified in statute or this chapter for approval of a proposed course, the Assistant Commissioner shall consider the following factors:(1) There is no career and technical education course in the WECM database that has equivalent end of course outcomes to the proposed course.(2) The proposed course is designated as either semester credit hours or continuing education units and assigned contact hours.(3) The submission for consideration of the proposed course is complete and includes:(A) A course title;(B) A six-digit Classification of Instructional Program code;(C) A course description;(D) The type of instruction;(E) Suggested prerequisite, if applicable;(F) A justification of the need for the course; and(G) End of course outcomes.
