(a) Authority for this subchapter is provided in Texas Education Code, chapter 61, subchapter T-3, §§61.891 - 61.897, Texas Leadership Scholars Program.(b) The purpose of this program is to provide merit scholarships coupled with academic achievement support and leadership development to assist eligible students to enroll in and graduate from public institutions of higher education in this state.
