SECTION/RULE §23.33 - Applicant Eligibility

To be eligible for loan repayment assistance, an applicant must:(1) submit a completed application to the Coordinating Board by the stated deadline; and(2) be one of the following:(A) a certified educator in a shortage teaching field, currently teaching full-time in that field at the time of the application, and have taught in that field full-time for one service period in the last academic year at the preschool, primary, or secondary level in a Texas public school; or(B) a certified educator currently teaching full-time at the preschool, primary, or secondary level in a shortage community, and have taught in that community full-time for one service period in the last academic year.
