SECTION/RULE §23.300 - Authority and Purpose

(a) Authority. Authority for this subchapter is provided in the Texas Education Code, chapter 61, subchapter L, Financial Aid for Professional Nursing Students and Vocational Nursing Students and Loan Repayment Program for Certain Nurses. These rules establish procedures to administer Texas Education Code, §61.651 and §§61.654 - 61.659.(b) Purpose. The purpose of the Nurse Loan Repayment Assistance Program is to promote the health care needs of this state by encouraging qualified nurses to continue to practice in Texas.
