SECTION/RULE §150.1031 - General Provisions for Superintendent Appraisal

(a) All school districts have the following two choices in selecting a method to appraise superintendents:(1) a superintendent appraisal system recommended by the commissioner of education; or(2) a local superintendent appraisal system.(b) In addition to other procedures and criteria determined by the school district board of trustees, the commissioner's recommended appraisal process and criteria for a superintendent shall include, at a minimum:(1) an annual evaluation of the superintendent; and(2) a student performance domain.(c) Completion of the Lone Star Governance superintendent evaluation may satisfy the requirements of subsection (b) of this section.
