(a) A school district may use alternative procedures for delivering instruction to ensure that essential knowledge and skills are taught. The district shall pay any fees or other costs for students to participate in alternative delivery procedures.(b) A school district may operate a magnet program, academy, or other innovative program to serve student populations with specialized interests and aptitudes.
