SECTION/RULE §89.1501 - Definitions

The following words and terms, when used in this subchapter, shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.(1) Case-managed student--A student who is assessed to be in need of and receives Communities In Schools (CIS) services to address academic, attendance, behavior, and/or social service needs related to improving student achievement according to the requirements in the grant application.(2) Developing program--An entity funded through the replication process for the purposes of establishing and implementing a local CIS program within a five-year period following the requirements in the grant application.(3) Local CIS program--A Communities In Schools 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in accordance with the program model and state guidelines authorized by state law and meeting all the requirements in the grant application for establishing and maintaining a local CIS program.
