SECTION/RULE §231.71 - Art, Middle School 1-3

An assignment in a departmentalized classroom for Art, Middle School 1-3, is allowed with one of the following certificates.(1) All-Level Art.(2) Art: Early Childhood-Grade 12.(3) Bilingual Generalist: Early Childhood-Grade 6 (Grade 6 only).(4) Core Subjects: Early Childhood-Grade 6 (Grade 6 only).(5) Core Subjects with Science of Teaching Reading: Early Childhood-Grade 6 (Grade 6 only).(6) Elementary Art (Grades 1-8).(7) Elementary teacher certificate plus 18 semester credit hours in art.(8) English as a Second Language Generalist: Early Childhood-Grade 6 (Grade 6 only).(9) Generalist: Early Childhood-Grade 6 (Grade 6 only).(10) Grades 6-12 or Grades 6-8--Art.(11) Junior High School or High School--Art.(12) Secondary Art (Grades 6-12).(13) Secondary or all-level teacher certificate plus 18 semester credit hours in art.
