SECTION/RULE §231.425 - Mathematics for Medical Professionals; Medical Coding and Billing, Grades 9-12

(a) An assignment for Mathematics for Medical Professionals or Medical Coding and Billing, Grades 9-12, is allowed with one of the following certificates.(1) Health Science: Grades 6-12. This assignment requires a bachelor's degree.(2) Health Science Technology Education: Grades 8-12. This assignment requires a bachelor's degree.(3) Vocational Health Occupations. This assignment requires a bachelor's degree.(4) Vocational Health Science Technology. This assignment requires a bachelor's degree.(5) Legacy Master Mathematics Teacher (Grades 8-12).(6) Mathematics: Grades 7-12.(7) Mathematics: Grades 8-12.(8) Mathematics/Physical Science/Engineering: Grades 6-12.(9) Mathematics/Physical Science/Engineering: Grades 8-12.(10) Physics/Mathematics: Grades 7-12.(11) Physics/Mathematics: Grades 8-12.(12) Secondary Mathematics.(b) All teachers assigned to this course shall participate in Texas Education Agency-approved training prior to teaching this course effective with the 2019-2020 school year.
