(a) The State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) may delegate to the chair the authority to sign on behalf of a majority of the SBEC members a decision made or order issued under this chapter.(b) As provided by this chapter and any memorandum of agreement between the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and SBEC, TEA staff may sign final orders resolving or dismissing cases by agreement of the parties or by non-suit of the petitioner, as well as orders relating to other matters authorized by this chapter.
