An optometric glaucoma specialist may:(1) administer and prescribe appropriate medications by topical or oral means for the purpose of diagnosing and treating visual defects, abnormal conditions and diseases of the human vision system, including the eye and adnexa, as set forth in §280.10 of this chapter (relating to Optometric Glaucoma Specialist: Administration and Prescribing of Oral Medications and Anti-Glaucoma Drugs); and(2) treat glaucoma, as set forth in §351.3581 of the Act and §280.10 of this chapter, including the administration and prescribing of appropriate medications by topical, oral, or parenteral means.
