(a) Complaints must be made to the Investigation Committee or to the executive director.(b) The complaint will be forwarded to the chairman of the Investigation Committee.(c) If the Investigation Committee determines that a violation of the Act has not occurred, the complainant will be so notified and the case closed.(d) If the Investigation Committee determines a violation of the Act has occurred, it will:(1) seek legal recourse as provided for in the Act, §18; or(2) notify the person being complained about of the complaint, specifying the sections of the Act which are alleged to have been violated, and schedule an informal conference with the individual.(e) If the complaint is not resolved through the informal conference, the Investigation Committee will present it to the board.(f) The board will conduct a formal hearing as provided for in the Act, §20. Members of the Investigation Committee shall not participate or vote at the hearing.
