(a) The Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners is responsible for establishing policies and promulgating rules to establish and maintain a high standard of integrity, skills, and practice in the professions of veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians, and equine dental providers in accordance with the Veterinary Licensing Act.(b) The board may employ an executive director to be responsible for administering policies, rules, and directives as set by the board.
