SECTION/RULE §72.14 - License Renewal

(a) A licensee shall renew a license every two years on or before the first day of the licensee's birth month.(b) A licensee may submit a license renewal application no sooner than 60 days before the first day of the licensee's birth month of the licensee's renewal year.(c) To renew a license, a licensee shall submit to the Board the license renewal form and the renewal fee.(d) The Board may not consider a renewal application that is incomplete.(e) A licensee who fails to renew a license under subsection (a) of this section shall be considered by the Board as practicing without a license and subject to disciplinary action.(f) A licensee may apply for inactive status before the licensee's renewal deadline.(g) An individual with a license that has been expired for less than one year may renew a license by complying with subsection (a) of this section and paying the applicable late fee.(h) An individual with a license that has been expired for one year or longer may not renew a license but may obtain a new license by completing all requirements for obtaining an initial license.(i) For a license that has been expired for one year but not more than three years, the Board may waive subsection (h) of this section if the individual can show evidence of good cause satisfactory to the Board and by paying all applicable late fees.(j) The Board shall grant a military service member who holds a license an additional two years to complete any continuing education requirements and any other requirements related to the renewal of the license, including any late fees.
