(a) This chapter implements the provisions in the Social Work Practice Act (Act), Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 505, concerning the licensure and regulation of social workers.(b) The Act restricts the use of the titles "social worker," "licensed master social worker," "licensed social worker," "licensed baccalaureate social worker," "licensed clinical social worker" or any other title that implies licensure or certification in social work.
