(a) The purpose of this chapter is to implement the provisions in the Act concerning the licensure of Professional Geoscientists and regulation of the public practice of geoscience.(b) It is the intent of the Appointed Board that the Rules of the TBPG be interpreted in the best interest of the public and the state.(c) Through this chapter, the Appointed Board intends to establish procedures to receive petitions and complaints from the general public and the TBPG licensees, assure that access to TBPG programs is made available to all citizens, to set appropriate fees, and administer the TBPG's programs effectively.
