(a) The board may affiliate with the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). Each board member may become a member of the council and the executive director and other staff members designated by the board may be associate members of the council.(b) The board may select and contract with former board members to serve as emeritus members to NCEES meetings to participate in Council activities and represent board interests in national professional engineering issues. The emeritus members to NCEES may attend board and committee meetings to serve in an advisory capacity and shall present board actions to NCEES as directed by the board.
