In addition to the education recognized in §206.203 of the Act, an applicant for licensure must complete:(1) a Surgical Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP);(2) basic and clinical sciences coursework at a medical school;(3) a registered nurse first assistant program that is approved or recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing; or(4) a post graduate clinical Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA), or by that Committee's predecessor or successor.
