SECTION/RULE §217.51 - Procedure When Infection Is Suspected

When probable cause exists to suspect the possibility of infection from any person concerned with the handling of mix, frozen desserts, or their ingredients, the department is authorized to require any or all of the following measures:(1) the immediate exclusion of that person from handling mix, frozen desserts, or their ingredients;(2) the immediate exclusion of the mix or frozen desserts concerned from distribution and use; and(3) adequate medical examination of the person before returning to frozen dessert handling.
