(a) A tanning facility operator shall post a warning sign in a conspicuous location where it is readily visible to persons entering the facility. The sign shall have the following wording and appearance. Attached Graphic(b) A tanning facility operator shall post a warning sign, one sign for each tanning device, in a conspicuous location that is readily visible to a person about to use the device. The sign shall have the following wording and appearance. Attached Graphic(c) Warning signs shall meet the following requirements. (1) The sign shall be printed on white 80 pound gloss coated cover stock and shall be 17 inches wide by 22 inches long. (2) The lettering on each warning sign shall be brilliant red (Pantone 185) or equivalent on white background. (3) The major sign heading entitled "DANGER" shall be a minimum of Helvetica Bold 110 point or equivalent. (4) The subheading entitled "ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION" shall be a minimum of Helvetica Bold 84 point or equivalent. (5) Body copy shall be Helvetica 36 point or equivalent. (6) Remaining capitalized copy shall be a minimum of Helvetica Bold 60 point or equivalent. (d) Camera ready copies of each sign shall be available for reproduction purposes upon written request to the department, 1100 West 49th Street, Austin, Texas 78756-3182. (e) The department shall include with a license application a description of the design standards required for signs in this section.
