A person who does not submit a timely renewal application must pay the late fee, as required under paragraph (1) or (2) of this section, as applicable, if the person is eligible to renew the license under §296.42(e) of this chapter (relating to Initial and Renewal Applications). A renewal application is considered timely if the application, fee, and all required documents are received by DSHS or postmarked before the license expires. If the application, fee, or required documents are deficient and the deficiency is not resolved before the license expires, the renewal application is not timely and is subject to the following late fees:(1) If a person's license has been expired for one to 90 days, the person's renewal application must be accompanied by a renewal fee that is equal to 1.5 times the normally required renewal fee.(2) If a person's license has been expired for more than 90 days, but less than a year, the person's renewal application must be accompanied by a renewal fee that is equal to two times the normally required renewal fee.
