SECTION/RULE §83.1 - Purpose

(a) As authorized by the Government Code, §403.1055, relating to the Permanent Fund for Children and Public Health, and the Health and Safety Code, §121.0065, relating to Grants for Essential Public Health Services, the department shall institute and administer grants under this subchapter.(b) The grants shall be known as a part of the "Public Health Improvement Grants."(c) This subchapter governs the administration of the grants, the submission and review of grant applications, and the award of the grants.
