SECTION/RULE §278.105 - Substitute Provider Qualifications

A substitute provider must meet the requirements specified in §48.8902(a)(1) - (8), (12), and (16) of this subchapter (relating to Provider Qualifications) and §48.8904 of this subchapter (relating to Individuals Who May Not Provide Adult Foster Care Services). The Department of Aging and Disability Services reserves the right to disapprove a substitute provider or attendant. The provider must orient any substitute caregiver to the home and the residents to the following:(1) the location of fire extinguishers;(2) evacuation procedures;(3) location of residents' records;(4) location of telephone numbers for the residents' physicians, the provider, and other emergency contacts;(5) location of medications;(6) introduction to residents; and(7) instructions for caring for each resident.
