SECTION/RULE §301.51 - Purpose

The purpose of this subchapter is to protect consumers at a facility, local authority, community center, or contract provider of residential services, and the property of those consumers. To do so, this subchapter:(1) describes the process by which criminal history clearances are conducted for applicants for employment or volunteer status with facilities, local authorities, community centers, and contract providers of residential services;(2) requires facilities, local authorities, community centers, and contract providers of residential services to have an effective self-reporting procedure for employees and volunteers; and(3) describes the process by which registry clearances are conducted for applicants for employment or volunteer status with facilities, local authorities, community centers, and contract providers of residential services.
