SECTION/RULE §307.171 - Staff Member Training

An OCR provider must ensure staff members complete training and document evidence of training in the following:(1) trauma informed care;(2) cultural competency;(3) rights of persons receiving OCR services in accordance with §307.173 of this subchapter (relating to Rights);(4) identifying, preventing, and reporting abuse, neglect, and exploitation in accordance with 25 TAC Chapter 414, Subchapter L (relating to Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation in Local Authorities and Community Centers) to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services at 1-800-252-5400 or online at www.txabusehotline.org in accordance with applicable state laws and rules; and(5) using a protocol for preventing and managing aggressive behavior, including de-escalation intervention techniques in accordance with 25 TAC Chapter 415, Subchapter F (relating to Interventions in Mental Health Services).
