The following words and terms, when used in this subchapter, shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. (1) Case management--In compliance with §350.405 of this subchapter (relating to Case Management Services), case management means services provided to assist an eligible child and their family in gaining access to the rights and procedural safeguards under IDEA Part C and to needed medical, social, educational, developmental, and other appropriate services. Case management services may be provided via telehealth with the prior written consent of the parent. If the parent declines to consent to telehealth services, case management must still be provided. (2) Monitoring and assessment--Activities and contacts as described in §350.405 of this subchapter that are necessary to ensure that the IFSP, as described in Subchapter J of this chapter (relating to Individualized Family Service Plan), is effectively implemented and that the planned services adequately address the needs of the child. (3) Texas Health Steps--The name adopted by the state of Texas for the federally mandated Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment program.
